BioDigest

Multi-strain bacteria that jump-starts biological filtration.

For saltwater and freshwater systems

BioDigest is the result of over 25 years of research in the aquarium industry. It is a concentrated consortium of bacterial strains that work in synergy.

BioDigest is composed of natural bacterial strains selected for their ability to support the effective establishment of biological filtration in the aquarium.

The breakdown of organic waste is enhanced by the presence of multiple heterotrophic bacterial strains in optimal proportions.

These bacteria work together within our consortia, with each strain completing the work started by others. Some strains are capable of biosynthesizing denitrifying enzymes under aerobic conditions, resulting in excellent water purification, reduced nitrate and phosphate levels, and the prevention of algae blooms, including cyanobacteria.

Engineered for Biological Performance

BioDigest’s beneficial bacteria mix of Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter, and Bacillus is introduced directly to the live rock and substrate, so regular use ensures a healthy and continuous bacteria population in your system.

When should you use BioDigest?

Use to support the effective establishment of biological filtration in freshwater & saltwater aquariums.
Use to enhance the breakdown of organic waste through a consortium of natural heterotrophic bacterial strains.
Use to improve water quality by reducing nitrate and phosphate levels.
Use to help prevent algae blooms, including cyanobacteria, through advanced bacterial activity.

Dosage frequency

Dose one ampoule every 15 days.
