Description

The Deep Sea Refractometer is a high-precision instrument designed to measure the refractive index of seawater. It features a copper internal body, which conducts heat more efficiently than cheaper aluminum and plastic models, allowing for faster and more accurate automatic temperature compensation, ensuring reliable results in all conditions.

Copper Internal Body :

Durable, corrosion-resistant, and quickly stabilizes temperature.

Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) :

Adjusts readings for temperature changes, ensuring accuracy.

Easy-to-Read Scale :

Clear, sharp display for quick and easy reading of results.

How to Calibrate and Measure Salinity :

1. Clean the prism and daylight plate to remove salt residue.

2. Add pure or RO water to the prism, close the plate, and wait 15seconds for temperature stabilization.

3. Point to bright light, adjust the eyepiece, and check if the reading falls between the blue and white areas.

4. If not at 0, remove the calibration screw cover and adjust the screw to align with O.

5. Wipe the prism, add seawater, wait 15 seconds, and read the salinity.
