Description

NYOS Alkalinity Test Kit (New Version)

CONTENTS

Sufficient for approx. 90 analyses at an average alkalinity of 7,5 °KH (2.7 meq/l).

CONTENTS TEST EQUIPMENT

1.  50 ml Reagent ALK-1

2.  1 Sample container

3.  1 Instructions for use

4.  1 syringe 1ml

5.  1 syringe 5 ml

6.  1 dropper tip

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1.Rinse out the sample container several times with aquarium water. Then, using the syringe, add 5 ml aquarium water to the sample container.

2.Place the dropper tip onto the 1 ml syringe. Draw up 1 ml reagent ALK-1 using the syringe. To do this, the lower edge of the black plunger ring must sit exactly on the 0,0 ml mark (see diagram). A small air bubble under the plunger will not interfere with the test.

3.Slowly, drop-by-drop, add reagent ALK-1 while swirling (important!). Continue adding reagent ALK-1 drop-wise until the solution turns orange/ pink.

4. To determine the alkalinity level, read the value on the ALK/dKH scale at the lower edge of the black plunger (same location as in step 2).

OPTIMUM VALUE

In a saltwater aquarium, we recommend attaining a alkalinity of 7.5 - 8.5 °KH (=2.7- 3.0 meq/I).

STORAGE

Store the test kit under cool (<25°C/77°F), dry conditions.

NOTICE

Close the ALK-1 reagent immediately after use.
