Nyos CORAL DIP is a state-of-the-art product that has a targeted effect against almost all types of coral parasites and pests. It was developed together with leading coral farms and optimized over along period of time for the best possible performance. Its use is recommended both for acute parasite infestation and as a preventive measure when adding new corals to the aquarium.


Advantages:

  • State-of-the-art formulation with an extremely wide range of applications
  • Can also be used on sensitive corals. Corals do not lose color
  • Low cloudiness of the dip solution
  • Contains no iodine, disinfectants or inorganic salts

Instructions for use

  • Shake before use
  • Dose Nyos® CORAL DIP as follows in a separate container with aquarium water:

Standard dosage: 10ml/liter (40ml/gal)

Flatworms: 5ml/liter (20ml/gal)

Nudibranchs: 12ml/liter (50ml/gal)

  • Dip coral for 10 minutes; Flow and turkey baster have a supportive effect
  • Rinse coral with clean aquarium water before putting it back in the aquarium
  • If eggs are present, dip once a week for 4 weeks

Flatworwms (Turbellaria) such as:

  • Acropora Eating Flatworms (Amakusaplana acroporae / Prosthiostomum acroporae – AEFW)
  • New Acropora Eating Flatworms (NAEFW)
  • Euphyllia Eating flatworms
  • Leopard Flatworms (Pericelis)
  • So called “Red Planaria” (Convolutriloba retrogemma)
  • More Acoela - Flatworms

Nudibranchs (Phyllodesmium, Phestilla, Tritoniopsis,Aeolidiella) such as:

  • Zoanthus Eating Nudbranchs (Aeolidiella)
  • Montipora Eating Nudibranchs (Phestilla subodiosa)
  • Sympodium Eating Nudibanchs (Tritoniopsis elegans)
  • Soft Coral Eating Nudibranchs (Phyllodesmium briareum)
  • Clavularia Eating Nudibranchs
  • Alveopora Eating Nudibranchs
  • Tubastrea Eating Nudibranchs
  • Porites Eating Nudibranchs
  • Goniopora Eating Nudibranchs

Exotic Coral Parasites like:

  • Isopods and Sea Spiders (Pantopoda) such as Zoanthus spiders
  • Amphipods, such as Gammarids, Skeleton Shrimps (Caprellidae)
  • Smaller crabs (Brachyura), such as the Acropora damaging hairy coral crabs (Cymo)
  • Polychaeta, such as bristle worms and Spionidae
  • Parasitic copepods (Tegastidae) such as black bugs, red bugs, white bugs on e.g. Acropora, Euphyllia
  • Comb Jellies (Ctenophores)
  • Ciliates
  • Slight antibacterial effect against gram positive and gram negative bacteria
